Gladys:  A Journey to Production Designer

​

 

After completing her college education, Gladys dedicated herself to a singular goal: to become a Production Designer in the film industry, driven by her natural creativity and love for storytelling through visual design.

 

She began her journey as an interior designer in her native Peru, where she established a strong foundation in spatial planning and aesthetics. Eager to expand her expertise, she moved to Madrid, Spain, to pursue a Master’s degree in Production Design and Stage Design, graduating at the top of her class.

 

Gladys works on a variety of projects, including television shows, films, and commercials, fueled by her passion for design and art. She stays up-to-date with the latest trends, consistently seeking inspiration for her creations. Her talent for merging diverse cultural influences with innovative design elements has garnered her recognition from colleagues and directors alike. Known for her meticulous attention to detail, Gladys has a remarkable ability to transform any space into a vivid, narrative-rich environment.

 

In her current position, she collaborates closely with directors, Directors of photography, set decorators, and art directors to ensure that every visual component aligns perfectly with the story's vision. Her designs are not only visually striking but also evoke the emotions and themes intended by the filmmakers. This dedication to storytelling through design has made her an invaluable asset in the industry.
